I just bought a 1752 polar Kraft Jon. Bare boat. It was a jet boat so long ways on the bottom ribs are very beat up. Any repairs or way to help with that ? Weld all new angle over them? or any ideas to tell are local welder would be great! You know more then me !

Bought a bass tracker off a guy about 2 years ago. All the hatches are done. Rivets busted, hinges trashed. This is what i need.

Im a carpenter for a school district and with modern building codes for educational facilities ever-changing, my material list oftentimes consists of as much metal as wood presently. You definitely inspired me to add welding to the repertoire and expand my skill set. That's quality work, my dude.

Your work is solid.... But the owner of that boat is pushing his luck with that transom. That is a lot of weight hanging on the back, and the unevenness you showed at the beginning is signs of stress buckle. He needs to replace the wood, and add a couple angle supports. Buddy of mine had his transom buckle and split while trailering on a bumpy road. His 14ft Jon boat had rotted wood core and the weight of a long tail with 22hp engine.

Very nice... I like the welded trim tabs on the bottom. Still allows you to mount float pods.
